The 12th annual SANS Security Awareness Summit focused on the theme of “Advancing Security Culture.”

Operation Shamrock’s Erin West delivered the event keynote, “Uncovering the Dark World of Nation-State Scams.” A leading expert in combating transnational organized crime, West uncovered the dark world of “pig butchering” scams — sophisticated schemes run by global criminal networks that exploit victims through manipulation and financial deception. She will shed light on how these crimes are part of a larger international threat, exploiting gaps in law enforcement, banking, and regulatory systems.

Attendees included thousands of security awareness, behavior, and culture professionals from around the world. The event was designed to equip people with the tools and knowledge needed to drive meaningful security culture change.
