Escaping Scam City, focuses on a couple caught in a job scam. After replying to a job ad posted on social media, Ava and Micah are “hired” for a dream job in Cambodia. Instead, the couple ends up in a scam compound run by transnational organized crime, where they’re forced to commit online fraud under threat of violence.
The podcast follows the investigation and first-hand accounts of people caught in moments of injustice and exploitation — and the individuals who chose to step in the fight beside them.
